The mission of National Trends and Services is to eliminate disparities by reducing barriers to services in the communities in which we work. We achieve this by empowerment through education, advocacy, and service. Among our programs are “Trash Talking: It’s No Joke!” to provide youth with the tools and skills to address bullying in all forms.
Empowerment of Senior Citizens through annual education sessions to support financial literacy is another focus area. We introduce them to community resources with daycare and assisted living facilities at competitive costs. The Facet provides resources and service to Elijah's Promise, a local soup kitchen through participation in the Annual Turkey Trot to raise funds and awareness.
Additionally, the Facet arranges for and organizes Links Members to prepare and serve meals on site at the soup kitchen multiple times a year. Focus on empowering Women Veterans for successful reentry to civilian life through job interview training and “Dress for Success” initiatives is a 2014-15 goal of this Facet.
