40th Anniversary Essay Contest

Presented in commemoration of the 40th Chapter Anniversary of the Raritan Valley (NJ) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated

 

Promoting artistic expression, community voice, and leadership for youth through the arts.

How to Enter

 

For Middle School Students (Grades 6–8)
Somerset, Union & Middlesex Counties, NJ

​

Theme: “My Voice. My Vision. My Future.”
Students are invited to express themselves through an original essay (Max 500 words) inspired by one of these prompts:

​

  • The World I Want to Live In

  • What Makes My Voice Powerful

  • Standing Up for What’s Right

  • Our Planet, Our Future (Environmental Justice)


Submission Deadline: April 7th.

Subject line: Student Name – School – Writing or Art


Prizes in Each Category:

• 1st Place: $200 Visa Gift Card + Certificate

• 2nd Place: $100 Gift Card + Certificate

• 3rd Place: $50 Gift Card + Certificate

• Honorable Mentions: Certificate only


All participants will receive a certificate of participation.

Winners will be celebrated on Friday April 25th.
