President’s Welcome
Welcome to the Raritan Valley (NJ) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated website.
Over three decades ago, twenty-three women from Middlesex, Somerset and Union counties united to effect change in their communities. On April 26, 1986 the Raritan Valley (NJ) Chapter was chartered as the 213th Chapter of the Links, Incorporated.
These forward thinking and innovative women saw a need to positively impact the economic conditions and family structure in their communities at that time. They identified issues important to them and their communities. They volunteered at nursing homes, tutored students, showcased African American artists, and so much more. We thank them for being idealistic and paving the way.
As we fast forward 37 years, Raritan Valley (NJ) has evolved and expanded our programmatic outreach, while still addressing community needs and providing a strong support system. Through scholarships, we lay the foundation for youth to further the pursuit of higher education and continue to increase the number of students who will attend and graduate. As we continue to tackle discrimination, sexism, and racism, we remain in the forefront of advocacy and social change.
We look to continue to partner and foster relationships with philanthropic, corporate, health and community organizations and schools on a global level Our primary goal is to contribute to the betterment of our fellow man, woman and child in Middlesex, Somerset and Union counties.
Raritan Valley (NJ) has a rich 37-year history and we will continue to pursue excellence with the assistance of our supporters and partners through a strong bond of collaboration and friendship.
Warmly and In Service,
